Portrait

This portrait of our family dog, was done in ink pen and colored pencil (the glasses only). It is considered a mixed media piece. It was a 5 x 7 portrait.

Payment Options

Payment can be made through the mail (upon cantacting me about ordering a portrait you can recieve my mailing adress) and can either be made in cash or checks. Please make checks payable to Sarah Ribble.

Portrait

This piece looks very dark in this picture but is actually quite a bit brighter and more colorful. It was done with colored pencil on plain paper and was an 8 x 10.

Additional Information

Any changes that you wish to be made to the original photograph in the portrait can be done. For example, if you would rather have a solid color background than the scenery the photo is set in, simply let me know and it can be arranged at no extra cost.

Possible Mediums

There are several mediums in which the portraits can be done. These include:

• Colored Pencil
• Pastel
• Ink Pen (on white or toned paper)
• Lead Pencil (on white or toned paper)
• Mixed Media (any combination of the above options. ie., pen and colored pencil on toned paper)

Examples of all of these various mediums are posted on the site.

Completion Time

In order to guaruntee your portrait's completion, i ask for the following amount of time per piece requested:

• 5 x 7... 1 week
• 8 x 10... 2 weeks
• 11 x 14... 3 weeks

Rush orders can be made, but may cost extra.

If your portrait is completed before the requested date, you may recieve it early at no extra charge.

Pricing

The prices for standard size portraits are as follows:

• 5 x 7... $15
• 8 x 10... $30
• 11 x 14... $50

Custom size portraits are priced based on the amount of hours of work that they require. Minimum wage of $7 per hour is charged.

Sizing

The portraits are available in three different sizes:

• 5 x 7
• 8 x 10
• 11 x 14

They can be drawn horizontically or vertically, whichever you prefer.

The photo provided does not have to be the same size as you wish the portrait to be. For example, if you have a photo you wish to have a portrait made from and the photo is only a 5 x 7, an 8 x 10 or 11 x 14 portrait can be made from that photo at no extra cost.

Custom portrait sizes are available at no extra cost. However, those listed above are standard sizes which makes framing much easier.

My name is Sarah Ribble and I'm currently enrolled at Darby High School. I'm very involved in the art program and thought that doing portraits for commission would be a great way to make some money and sharpen my skills at the same time. Everyone has that favorite photo; maybe it's of your kids or your spouse, maybe even a beloved family pet. Why not have that picture turned into a one of a kind portrait?
